[HUMAN] Data session, EFL Classroom Interaction in Turkey, 25 February, 15:00

In our next data session, Gözde Balıkçı (METU, ELT, PhD Candidate) will present an extract from her corpus of EFL Classroom Interactions. The session will take place in the meeting room of HUMAN Research Centre on the 25th of February, Thursday at 3:00 p.m.

Bir sonraki veri oturumumuzda, ODTÜ doktora öğrencilerinden Araş. Gör. Gözde Balıkçı, “Yabancı Dil olarak İngilizce Sınıf İçi Etkileşimi” veritabanından bir kesit sunacaktır. Oturumumuz 25 Şubat Perşembe günü HUMAN Uygulama ve Araştırma Merkezi toplantı odasında saat 15:00’da gerçekleşecektir.

Data session (Thursday, 25.12.2014, 3:00 P.M.)

Our next data session will be led by Leyla Karakurt (Hacettepe University, MA student in English Language Teaching) on the 25th of December, Thursday at 3:00 P.M. Leyla will present a sample extract based on EFL classrooms in a higher education setting. The venue of the session will be announced soon.

Bir sonraki veri toplantımız 25 Aralık Perşembe günü saat 15:00’da Leyla Karakurt (Hacettepe Üniversitesi, Yabancı Diller Eğitimi Bölümü Yüksek Lisans Öğrencisi) tarafından organize edilecektir. Leyla hoca bir üniversite ortamındaki yabancı dil sınıflarından etkileşim örneği sunacaktır. Veri oturumunun yeri daha sonra duyurulacaktır.

Notre prochaine session de données sera menée par Leyla Karakurt (étudiante de master en enseignement de l’anglais langue étrangère à l’université Hacettepe) jeudi 25 décembre à 15h. Leyla présentera un extrait de cours d’anglais langue étrangère dans un cadre d’enseignement supérieur. Le lieu de la session sera précisé prochainement.

Data Session (20.11.2014)

This week’s data session will be organised by Nilüfer Can Daşkın who will present data from her corpus of interactions in English as a Foreign Language classrooms in higher education. The session will take place in the meeting room of the department of foreign language education (Faculty of Education, Hacettepe University) on Thursday at 3:00 pm.

Bu haftaki veri oturumu Nilüfer Can Daşkın tarafından düzenlenecektir. Üzerinde çalışılacak veri yüksek öğretimde yabancı dil olarak İngilizce veri tabanından gelmektedir. Oturum Perşembe günü saat 15:00’da Eğitim fakültesi yabancı diller eğitimi bölümü toplantı odasında yapılacaktır.

MA Course: IDO622 Conversation Analysis and Foreign Language Education

This semester, Hacettepe University, Department of Foreign Language Education is offering a post-graduate course (IDO622) on Conversation Analysis and Foreign Language Education. The course aims to introduce basic principles of Conversation Analysis methodology as an approach to social interaction and build links to foreign language teaching and learning. Using cutting-edge research from the field of CA-for-SLA, the sessions will include discussions on examples from real language classrooms based on audio-visual data.The classes will be held on Tuesdays (12:00-14:45) starting from the 23rd of September.
