In the last data session of the semester, Gözde Balıkçı (METU, ELT, PhD Candidate) will present an extract from her corpus of EFL Classroom Interactions. The session will take place in the meeting room of HUMAN Research Centre on the 9th of May, Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.

This week we are organizing two data sessions. In the first session Betül Çimenli (English Language Teaching, Bartın University) will present an extract from her corpus of dyadic online L2 interactions. In the second session, Seçil Dayıoğlu Öcal (Linguistics, Hacettepe University) will present an extract from the corpus of SETT VEO classroom interaction. The first session will start at 14:00 and the second will start at 15:30, both on 18 April, Wednesday at HUMAN Research Centre Meeting Room.

This week we are organizing two data sessions. In the first session Tolga Keleş (MA student in English Language Teaching, Gazi University) will present an extract from the corpus of L2 DISCO (group discussion tasks corpus). In the second session, Kadriye Aksoy (English Language Teaching, Hacettepe University) will present an extract from her corpus of L2 task based small group interactions. The first session will start at 14:00 and the second will start at 15:30, both on 11 April, Wednesday at HUMAN Research Centre Meeting Room.

In our next data session, Hümeyra Can (PhD Candidate, METU) and Nilüfer Can Daşkın (PhD, Hacettepe University) will present an extract from the corpus of Language Test Proofreading Teacher-Tester Interactions. The session will take place in the meeting room of HUMAN Research Centre on the 4th of April, Wednesday at 15:30.

This week we are organizing two data sessions. In the first session Umut Özçelik (MA student in English Language Teaching, Gazi University) will present an extract from the corpus of L2 DISCO (group discussion tasks corpus). In the second session, Yusuf Emre Yeşilyurt (English Language Teaching, Gazi University) will present an extract from his corpus of online L2 writing peer feedback interactions. The first session will start at 14:00 and the second will start at 15:30, both on 28 March, Wednesday at HUMAN Research Centre Meeting Room.

In our next data session, Betül Şen Gümüş (Hacettepe University, Science Education, PhD Candidate) will present an extract from group interactions in a science classroom.  The session will start at 15:30, 21st of March, Wednesday in the meeting room of HUMAN Research Centre.

This week we are organizing two data sessions. In the first session Merve Bozbıyık (English Language Teaching, Ufuk University) will present an extract from the corpus of VEO integrated supervisor-pre-service teacher interactions. In the second session, Fatma Badem (English Language Teaching, Gazi University) will present an extract from her corpus of EFL classroom interactions. The first session will start at 14:00 and the second will start at 15:30, both on 14 March, Wednesday at HUMAN Research Centre Meeting Room.

In our next data session, Nergiz Kardaş (Hacettepe University, Primary Education, PhD Candidate) will present an extract from her corpus of Classroom Interactions in a Social Studies Class in a Primary School Setting in Turkey. The session will take place in the meeting room of HUMAN Research Centre on the 7th of March, Wednesday at 15:30 following the first reading group meeting of the semester.

We are really to glad announce that HUMAN Research Centre is organizing three reading group meetings led by Nergiz Kardaş for 2018 spring semester . Please see below the flyer for the details and schedule of the meetings. The meetings will be held in the meeting room of the HUMAN Research Centre on Wednesdays at 14:00. On 7 March, we start with a book chapter by Nguyen (2017) on interactional competences in institutional settings. Please see the referential details below and feel free to contact Nergiz if you are attending and in need of a copy of the chapter.
